Chess Club

Wednesdays, 3:00-4:15 pm.

Chess Club meets after school in the cafeteria. First and second semester sessions are offered; sign-ups are in September and January.  To register, please see the flyer in your child's Friday folder or email Suzanne Moore at suzjgau@yahoo.com.

Preschool - Kindergarten After School Club

Mondays - Fridays, 3:00 to 4:30 pm.

This engaging class is for students in grades preschool - kindergarten. Children will participate in a variety of theme related activities. Through Religion, art, games, dramatic play, music, free play, story telling, and STREAM, the children will engage in enriching activities. Parents have the option to register their child for one or multiple days. Each day will need a minimum of 3 students for each day to proceed and will have a maximum of 20 students. The fees are $12.00 per student for each class. The fees also include healthy snacks. Mrs. Kelley Breiham is currently a kindergarten teacher and former preschool teacher. COCA Curtains Up Theatre

Mondays, 3:00 to 4:05 pm.

This class is for students in grades 1-3. Young performers will learn to use the body and voice to create characters. Using improvisation, dramatic play, story enactment and theatre games, students will develop confidence as they discover the joy of theatre. The class will need 8 minimum registered students to proceed and will have a maximum of 14 students. The fees are $160 per student for the 8 weeks between January and spring break. COCA has provided an excellent teacher for this class who has her PhD in theatre and many years of experience teaching theatre. Legos Club

Mondays, 3:00 to 4:05 pm.

This class is for students in grades 1-4. The fees are $87 per student for the 8 weeks from January through spring break in March. Bricks 4 Kidz Early Engineers: Students build machines, buildings, vehicles and other structures out of motorized LEGO bricks. Tae Kwon Do

Tuesdays, 3:00 to 4:05 pm.

This class is for students in grades 1-8. This class requires a minimum of ten students to proceed. With 20 or more students, this class will be divided into an older class section and a younger class section with Master Kim and an assistant as the instructors. The fees are $115 per student for 8 weeks from January through spring break in March. Master Kim is a Korean martial arts expert and is the owner of his training center in Warson Woods, which provides many weekly martial arts classes for children. Master Kim is currently teaching an after school Tae Kwon Do class at Our Lady of Pillar. Palmer Music Keyboard/Piano and Introduction to Music

Thursdays, 3:00-4:05 pm. 

This class will be for students in grades 1-3. The fees will be $175 for the 8 week period between January and spring break. This class is also expected to continue for a second 8 week session in the spring semester. The instructors for this class will be Ms. Seyfried and Mr. Palmer. Palmer Music currently also provides supplementary music classes for students during the day at Mary Queen. Each student will need to have a keyboard for the class, which can be purchased from Palmer Music for $173.77, including tax, for the keyboard and carrying case. The Y Club

Monday - Friday, 3:00 - 6:00 pm.

The Y–Club offers daily after school care and a drop in service.  Any kindergarten – 8th grader, who is registered with the YMCA, may use their drop in service.  In Y Club, kids engage in physical, learning and imaginative activities that encourage them to explore who they are and what they can achieve. In addition to supplementing what they have learned in school, they participate in interactive learning models that engage critical thinking skills, get assistance with their homework from trained YMCA staff, have a chance to socialize with each other and form long-lasting friendships that enhance their development, growth and self-confidence.
