Luke 18 is a weekend long retreat inviting 8th graders into deeper Communion with Jesus Christ and the Catholic Church—to help them see that they are not only the future of our Church, but they are also the Church right now. The retreat welcomes 8th graders (also referred to as “Lukers”) into the Church by helping them experience God and His Love. Luke 18 is organized by Fr. Craig, parent leaders, and high school teens. Through high-energy games, skits, songs, personal sharing, and a series of talks given by the high school teens, the “Lukers” are encouraged to have fun and grow in their faith. The weekend offers the opportunity to experience God’s love on a more personal level, and the “Lukers” are challenged to share that love with those around them.
PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NO COMING AND GOING FROM THE RETREAT. It begins at 7:00 pm on Friday and ends after 10:30 Mass on Sunday. Your child will not be permitted to leave the retreat early, arrive late, or leave and come back for any reason. A retreat is meant to be a time to get away from normal routines and reconnect with God and others. Your child’s full presence is vital to theweekend. Thank you for your understanding and support.
