Calling all 8th Graders!

Mary Queen of Peace and Our Lady of Lourdes parish (parish school, other private school and  PSR) 8th grade students are invited to attend Cotillion.  Cotillion gives young people instruction and practice in the courtesies that make life more pleasant for them and those around them.  The program encourages young ladies and gentleman to be comfortable together, make new friends and have fun.  Dancing and etiquette are included in each of the five Sunday sessions. Thursday, August 15 is the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, a holy day of obligation. Masses for the holy day will be celebrated at 6:45 am and 8:00 am and at 7:00 pm. We also have an all school Mass at 9:15 am    The Assumption of Mary is the day Catholics celebrate that the Blessed Virgin Mary, at the end of her earthly life, was taken up, body and soul, into the glory of heaven. So everyone has the opportunity to attend the evening Mass, the campus, including the gym, will be closed from 7 pm to 8 pm on the Holy Day.

A gentle reminder that all students entering pre-school, kindergarten, third grade, and sixth grade must turn in a physical signed by their doctor. All students with a diagnosis of a food allergy or asthma need to turn in a new action plan every year. If your student has an allergy requiring an Epi-pen and/or an inhaler, please send us the appropriate information before the first day of school. All medications that need to be given at school should be in the original container. Please make sure the meds are not expired.
