News

We are excited about Spring Fling on Friday night and Spring Fest on Saturday!

That’s the good news! And more good news – the workers are ahead of schedule because they are trying to get all the tents and rides and stages assembled before the forecasted bad weather tomorrow. So many of the tents and rides and stages are already assembled!

The challenge that presents to us as a school is how to keep our children and our community safe with all the traffic and workers moving in and out of the parking lot and around campus, especially during pick up, drop off, recess and physical education class.

So, after some quick consultation with Fr. Craig, members of the Spring Fest Committee, and a few parents, below is the plan we will follow:

TODAY’S AFTERNOON PICK UP (Wednesday, April 19):

  • We’ve been told we will not have access to the back parking lot and access to the circle in front of school is limited. So, we will begin dismissal at 2:30 pm. We are asking drivers to drive east to west on Lockwood Court and make a right into the small parking lot in front of the Webster Hills United Methodist Church on the corner of Lockwood and Berry, on the east side of Berry. We will have the students out near the sidewalk by homeroom. When a driver pulls up, we will bring your children to you. We have attached a map below to help. Please park along the right side and move up when the car in front of you moves up.
  • If you walk with your child, please come to the sidewalk on the side of the United Methodist Church beginning at 2:30 pm and look for your child’s teacher (the younger grades' teacher will have a sign) and ask that your child be released.
  • Walkers will be allowed to proceed as usual.
  • You are welcome to pick up your child early today. If you choose to do that, please call the school office to let us know and then come into the school office to sign out your child(ren).
  • After care will proceed as usual. Please come up the circle drive to pick up your child. You will see a walkie talkie on a chair outside the door. Please let us know through the walkie talkie that you have arrived and your child's name, and we will bring your child to you.
